Trees; it is easy to live with them and we certainly can’t live without them. It is so interesting; we know without any doubt whatsoever that we need trees. There is no conversation, precedence or anything else that can alter that fact, they keep us alive. Besides emitting the oxygen we need to breathe, we receive other forms of sustenance, too. Fruit, nuts, vegetables. All this giving is done for us by them, their entire lifetime. Trees are always ether giving or replenishing. Even harmful trees give off oxygen! Talk about the cycle of abuse! Back to our focus…
And yet; just because we don’t want to creatively work around trees, we cut them down. It is understandable for some trees to be sacrificed for safe dwelling. However, if we wanted to show the trees respect and gratitude for their ability to keep us alive; we could, easily. Perhaps instead of being so quick to knock down and build new, or to let empty houses debilitate, we can renovate, rebuild and enhance existing structures.
And then there’s the fires…I guess it is because trees don’t speak our language, that their value is diminished in the eyes of humans. Because if you think about it, they do speak to us. Every time something enters your stomach from a tree, that tree has spoken. It has said, “I care about you. I want you to live”. Every time you take a deep breath, remember you can do so because trees allow that option to be so. You don’t even have to live near a tree to reap its’ benefits. One of our saddest discoveries.
On the fires…it has been found trees emit methane, however, they also absorb methane. There are curious comment inferring the benefits of cutting down trees in the Amazon here. Of course, it is accompanied by, confirming the need for trees. Kind of like a thief saying they want something that’s on sale. Then, the next day, when they come looking for the item; it mysteriously disappeared during the night. Anyway…
Now think about the power of choice…
